Manchester United head into their League Cup semi-final with local rivals Manchester City with a few injury doubts.

The Red Devils take on Pep Guardiola’s men at Old Trafford on Tuesday evening as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer aims to lift his first piece of silverware in charge of the club.

However, that could be a difficult task, with a number of key players suffering with injuries. Luke Shaw, Anthony Martial and Jesse Lingard all missed the side’s recent FA Cup clash with Wolverhampton Wanderers. Harry Maguire also sustained a problem during the game despite lasting the full 90 minutes of the clash.

United boss Solskjaer has admitted he will give each of the four the upmost opportunity to take on City.

He said: “We’re going to give them as much time as we can. That’s the most correct and honest answer I can give you. Because some of them are still not ready.

“If it was a game today I’m not sure they could perform at their best but another 36 hours might be a big change. So we will give them until tomorrow morning until I give them the team.”

The Red Devils are at a price of 7/2 with Paddy Power to win the first-leg of the clash.
