Premier League giants Manchester United could soon announce a double signing as Brazilian midfielder Fred and Portuguese full-back Diogo Dalot are set to arrive at Old Trafford.

The Red Devils have been quiet in the build up to the summer transfer window, but they have now managed to secure two very good deals.

According to BBC Sport, Man Utd have agreed a £47 million transfer for Shakhtar Donetsk midfielder Fred, beating local rivals Manchester City to the player’s signature.

The Brazilian has been held in high regard by top European clubs and he has been likened to Man City’s Fernandinho for his style of play.

At the same time, Manchester United are believed to have triggered a £17.4 million release clause for FC Porto starlet Diogo Dalot.

The right-back, who can also operate on the left hand side, is reported to have already undergone a medical in England and he will soon put pen to paper on a long-term deal.

Followed by Real Madrid and Barcelona, Dalot is widely regarded as one of Europe’s most talented defenders at the moment.
