Manchester United captain Harry Maguire has labelled Marcus Rashford as the most talented player he has shared the pitch with throughout his career.
The former Sheffield United and Leicester City man has only been at Old Trafford for less than a season after his world record move from the East Midlands. However, that has been more than enough time for the centre-back to see the talent that the England striker has.
Talking to Manchester United’s official podcast, the 27-year-old said: “I think as a club, you should have a captain and rely on him, but you need to spread the onus of the leadership in the group.
“He’s always wanting to make himself available. I think you can see around the place, on and off the field as well, he’s excellent with his charity work, which is great to see.
“On the pitch, like I said, he’s amazed me. He’s the most talented player I’ve ever played with.”
Rashford broke through at Old Trafford during the 2015/16 season under Louis van Gaal. Since then, the forward has made 201 appearances for the Red Devils, scoring 64 goals and providing 32 assists. He was currently in the midst of his most prolific season so far with 19 strikes.
