Title hopefuls Liverpool welcome Newcastle United to Anfield on Sunday afternoon, needing three points and a favour from West Ham United in order to reclaim top spot, and in doing so clinch a first league championship in twenty-four years.

After winning eleven straight league games, Brendan Rodgers men took just a point from their last two games to seriously dent their chances of glory, though the fact that there is still a possibility of finishing first going in to the final day signals how well they have done this season.

The Reds have no fresh injury worries ahead of the game, and they could welcome Jordan Henderson back after he completed his three game suspension.

Top scorer Luis Suarez is unsurprisingly favourite to open the scoring at 4.0 (3/1) with Bet 365, with Daniel Sturridge a 4.75 (15/4) shot with the same firm.

The home win is widely available at 1.22 (2/9) with Newcastle as highly priced as the 15.0 (14/1) on offer from Bet Victor. The draw is a 7.75 (27/4) chance with 888 Sport.

The visitors ended a run of five straight defeats with victory over Cardiff City last weekend – a result which condemned the Bluebirds to relegation after just one season back in the top flight.

Despite their recent poor run of form, Alan Pardew’s men are guaranteed on a top ten finish, but anything other than victory will see Stoke City leapfrog them into ninth spot if they win at West Bromwich Albion.

Papiss Cisse has been side-lined for several months after having knee surgery and will miss out along with Davide Santon, while Adam Armstrong is on international duty with the England U17s.

Loic Remy is widely available at 13.0 (12/1) to get the first goal in what will most probably be his final for the club while Shola Ameobi is a 19.0 (18/1) shot with Bet 365.

Only leaders Manchester City have scored more league goals in front of their home crowd that Liverpool this season, so you may want to take advantage of the 2.65 (33/20) on offer from Sporting Bet for the hosts to score at least four times here.
