Premier League

Saturday’s Premier League action concludes with a mouth-watering clash at Anfield, where league leaders Liverpool take on Arsenal.

The hosts opened a six-point lead at the top of the table on Boxing Day, with their 4-0 victory over Newcastle United coupled with a Manchester City’s defeat at Leicester City.

With Pep Guardiola’s side not playing until Sunday the gap between the leaders and the champions could be extended even further while the Reds, who are now odds-on favourites for the title head to the Etihad Stadium on Thursday.

Both Naby Keita and Fabinho could be restored to the starting line-up for this game – the latter having rounded off the scoring on Wednesday while James Milner will be assessed ahead of kick-off after he missed out last time out with a hamstring problem.

Top scorer Mo Salah is favourite to open the scoring at 4.2 (16/5), ahead of 6.0 (5/1) chance Roberto Firmino.

The home win is 1.5 (1/2) with most firms, with the visitors as highly priced as the 7.0 (6/1) on offer from several bookmakers. The draw can be backed at 4.8 (19/5) with Betfred.

Arsenal had to settle for a draw at Brighton and Hove Albion last time out with the result leaving them two points off the top four.

Victory here would see them move into the Champions League qualification places, with Chelsea at Crystal Palace in Sunday’s early kick-off.

The game is likely to come to soon for Shkodran Mustafi, though fellow defender Laurent Koscielny should be fit enough to feature despite picking up a knock at the Amex Stadium.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who is league’s top scorer after scoring six in his last seven outings can be backed at 8.0 (7/1) to get the first goal of the game with Unibet, with Mesut Ozil a 20.0 (19/1) shot with the same firm.

Last season’s corresponding fixture ended in a 4-0 triumph for the hosts though they have drawn both of their meetings since then.

You can bet on their being four or more goals this time around at 1.67 (4/6) with Betfair while Betfred offer the same price for both teams to score.
