LapadulaPremier League champions have no time for celebration as they already make plans for next season in attempt to bolster their ranks that will be a competitive force in both England’s top tier and in the UEFA Champions League.

Claudio Ranieri looks set to continue with his method of unearthing obscure and unknown talents having already contacted Italian Serie B outfit Pescara asking for the availability of striker Gianluca Lapadula.

Foxes are particularly keen on adding another striker to their ranks and Pescara president Daniele Sebastiani has revealed he has been in contact with Leicester City manager.

“I received a call from Claudio Ranieri some time ago, before Leicester were crowned Premier League champions. He confided to me that he is following our striker with interest. It was nothing official, but only interest”, Sebastiani was quoted telling Tutto Mercato.

Peruvian forward Lapadula has made a significant impression in Serie B this season, having already scored more than 20 goals for his club.

Pescara forward has been in red-hot form and Tottenham are also believed to be one of the clubs keeping a close eye on the talented 26-year-old forward.

Gianluca Lapadula arrived to Pescara in 2015 having previously spent his career on loans at Atletico Roma, Ravenna, San Marino, Cesena, Frosinone, Gorica and Teramo.

Leicester City are believed to be sitting in the front row for the talented striker who is considered to be a potentially perfect addition to Ranieri’s squad.

Leicester continue their Premier League march on Saturday with a game against Everton at King Power Stadium. Foxes stand at the odds of 1.95 (19/20) to claim the maximum three points against the Tofees.
