Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger received some great news before the Bolton game as left-back Kieran Gibbs has resumed full training after the lengthy spell on the sidelines.

The promising full-back is unlikely to be in contention for the trip to Bolton, but Wenger is happy that the injury situation is finally improving.

“He had a normal training session yesterday,” Wenger said. “Kieran is still short to play now, but it is good news to have him back.

“I think one or two more weeks’ practice will get him back to being available again, that is very positive.”

Bacary Sagna is also in the mix after recovering from an ankle problem, and he even made a substitute appearance in the FA Cup victory over Aston Villa.

“Sagna is a bit early still (to say for Bolton), but you never know.

“I might consider it, because I have to check all the recoveries of the players who played on Sunday.”

Arsenal desperately need a victory at Reebok to end the three-match losing run in the Premiership and they are 1.73 (8/11) with Paddy Power to beat Bolton.
