Juventus are eyeing a return for former midfielder Paul Pogba, according to reports in Italy.

The Frenchman only left Turin just over two years ago in a then world-record transfer as he signed for the Red Devils for approximately £90m.

He has suffered inconsistent performances at Old Trafford though since moving back to England. Pogba made 51 appearances in his first campaign, winning the Carabao Cup and UEFA Europa League.

However, he has been criticised by supporters in recent times for under-par performances despite hitting four goals in his opening 12 games in all competitions in the 2018/18 season. It was also reported that he had an uneasy relationship with current United boss Mourinho.

TuttoSport report that Juventus want to bring the 25-year-old back to the club and are preparing to make a loan offer in the January transfer window. The Old Lady will also reportedly aim to make the deal a permanent one for £60m next summer.

The Frenchman made 178 appearances in all competitions in his first spell at the club, scoring 34 goals and assisting a further 43 before he was brought back to United.

Manchester United play Everton at Old Trafford on Sunday afternoon. Pogba can be backed at 8/1 with Paddy Power to hit the opening goal against the Toffees.
