Jack Grealish unlikely to make England debut in 2015Aston Villa winger Jack Grealish will have to wait some more before he makes his first England cap, according to the latest reports.

Despite playing for Republic of Ireland at various youth levels, the 20-year-old has decided to represent the Three Lions at international level after a long consideration.

As a result, English FA submitted the required paperwork to make the switch official some five weeks ago, but they have yet to receive a response from FIFA.

And with the world’s governing body still investigating the matter, it is now clear that Grealish will not be able to represent England in upcoming friendlies against Spain and France.

“The matter is pending and being investigated by our services,” said Fifa in a statement.

“As a result, we are not in a position to comment on it any further nor to give an estimation as to the relevant time line.”

There shouldn’t be any problems to register the youngster for England having failed to represent Ireland at senior level, and Roy Hodgson could decide to include him in his next squad despite the fact that the winger is unavailable for selection.

England face Spain in Alicante on 13 November, and they are priced at 4.10 (31/10) to defeat the reigning European champions.
