Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane has moved to reveal that he will be out until April after suffering an ankle injury.

Spurs confirmed the injury after the scan on Monday and it seems the problem is more serious than it was originally believed.

Kane revealed via Twitter that he would be out until April, missing the crucial stage of the season.

“Disappointing to be out until next month but injuries are part of the game,” Kane wrote on Twitter. “Will do everything I can to get back out there ASAP.”

The England star injured his ankle when colliding with AFC Bournemouth goalkeeper Asmir Begovic, but he is expected to be fit for the 2018 World Cup finals.

Kane will, however, miss the FA Cup semi-final clash with Swansea City, as well as England’s international friendlies against Netherlands and Italy.

The 24-year-old has now scored 20 or more goals in each of last four Premier League campaigns and he already gas 24 this term.
