Argentine striker Gonzalo Higuain could be set for a surprising summer move to Liverpool, according to reports from Mirror.

Napoli forward who plundered 36 goals in 35 Serie A matches last season is keen to rebuff interests from Manchester United and Arsenal in order to join Reds as he looks to force his way out of the Italian club.

And the 28-year-old prolific scorer is believed to fancy a move to Anfield despite the fact Reds have missed out on Europe this season.
