Free agent Pascal Feinduono is set to undergo a trial at Wigan Athletic as he attempts to return to the biggest stage following a two-year spell in Qatar.
The 29-year-old is currently out of contract after leaving Al-Sadd last year, while he also turned down a chance to join Celtic after successfully passing a trial at Parkhead.
The Guinean is eager to return to Europe and he will try to convince Wigan boss Roberto Martinez to offer him a contract during a week-long trial at DW Stadium.
Feinduono was regarded as one of the best players in French Ligue 1 some two years ago, but despite interest from big European clubs he decided to move to Al-Sadd.
