Arsenal stars Cesc Fabregas and Samir Nasri have given Arsene Wenger a major boost by hinting that they could remain at the Emirates.

Both players had been tipped to leave the club this summer following yet another disappointing season, but look ready to give the Gunners another chance.

With his contract expiring next summer, Samir Nasri was linked with a move to Manchester United, but his agent has revealed that the Frenchman is willing to talk with Arsene Wenger regarding contract renewal.

“I want to clarify that there has been no break with the Gunners over the contract renewal and we should meet again soon with Arsene Wenger,” Nasri’s representative Alain Migliaccio was quoted as saying.

“There are a few clubs interested in Samir, but it is useless to name them. Before listening to other teams, we need and we want to talk with Arsenal.”

Cesc Fabregas, on the other hand, was expected to finally clinch his move to Barcelona, but the Spaniard has refused to turn his back on Arsenal.

“I won’t step forward and say I want to join Barca. After eight years at Arsenal, I won’t harm the club. That’s not my way of being,” Fabregas said.

“I’m very happy, I’m an Arsenal player now, and that’s it. The rest is speculation. Wenger knows what I want and he’s the boss, he decides.”

If the Gunners manage to hold on to both Nasri and Fabregas, they could easily mount a serious title challenge next term, especially as they are already chasing several high profile players. Arsenal are 8.50 (15/2) with 888Sport to win the Premier League next season.
