Bosnian striker Edin Dzeko once again proved match winner for Manchester City as he came off the bench to score the winning goal against Tottenham, earning the praise of both Roberto Mancini and Andre Villas-Boas.

The highly-rated forward has scored six Premier League goals this season, with five of those coming as a substitute.

Manchester City assistant manager David Platt was full of praise for the experienced striker.

“Against Tottenham, we felt we needed an injection of something different up front, a little more height to get the ball and hold it up.

“But we also know Edin is a goal threat. He has scored a lot of goals this season and a lot of goals since he signed in January last year.

“He has got what I would call ‘heavy’ – or important – goals for us and he is a valued member of our squad.”

Dzeko has now scored a total of six Premier League goals, two and three more than Carlos Tevez and Sergio Aguero respectively.

With the Bosnian expected to finally get a genuine run in the side, you should know he is 5.00 (4/1) with BetVictor to be City’s top Premier League goalscorer this season.
