New Liverpool boss Kenny Dalglish expects Fernando Torres to quickly rediscover his scoring form and help the Reds save this season. The Kop legend praised the Spaniard’s workrate in the FA Cup defeat to Manchester United.

“For us he did everything that was expected of him in terms of commitment on the day.

“But it doesn’t matter how good a player you are, you still need a bit of confidence and we’ve got to get that confidence back in him.

“Working like that it won’t be long because the harder you work the better you become and you can’t work much harder than that today.”

Torres will have the chance to pay back his manager for the trust shown in him as Liverpool face Blackpool away in a rearranged match that will be seen as another must-win game for the Reds.

The Spaniard is looking like he is about to return to his best, so it could be wise to back Torres to score the first goal at 4.50 (7/2) offered by Paddy Power. Bodog pays 1.91 (10/11) on Torres to score at anytime.
