Diego CostaNew Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has moved to reject speculation linking star forward Diego Costa with a summer exit from Stamford Bridge.

The Spain international was believed to be looking for a way out of the club and he was reportedly keen on returning to Atletico Madrid.

However, despite signing Michy Batshuayi from Marseille, manager Antonio Conte has made it clear that Diego Costa will be staying at Stamford Bridge.

“Diego stays with us. He is working very hard. He is very happy to work with his team-mates and with me,” Conte was quoted as saying.

“He is a fantastic player, a player with a fundamental importance, and there is no problem.

“He is an important player, one of the best in the world, and I am sure when he goes into our ideas he will score a lot of goals for us.”

Having also recruited N’Golo Kante from holders Leicester City, Chelsea can be backed at 7.00 (6/1) to lift the Premier League trophy next season.
