Wednesday evening’s game at Stamford Bridge sees the West London Derby between fourth place Chelsea and bottom of the table Queens Park Rangers.

The hosts have won their last four league games, and victory here would see them go just four points behind second place Manchester City with a game in hand.

Goalkeeper Petr Cech will miss the game, along with John Terry who still hasn’t recovered from a knee problem.

Stand-in skipper Frank Lampard is now just eleven goals away from becoming Chelsea’s joint all-time top scorer following his brace in the 2-1 come from behind win at Everton on Sunday, and the midfielder is 7.5 (13/2) to open the scoring here, with top scorer Fernando Torres favourite at a best price of 4.75 (15/4) with Bet 365.

Unsurprisingly, Chelsea are odds on for the victory with a price of 1.22 (2/9) widely available. QPR are 15.0 (14/1) with some firms, while you can back the draw at 7.0 (6/1).

After somewhat of a revival following the arrival of Harry Redknapp five weeks ago, the visitors find themselves eight points from safety following three successive defeats.

There are expected to be many changes to the side who lost 3-0 to Liverpool last time out, though Park Ji Sung is likely to miss out again as he nears a return from injury.

Last season’s corresponding fixture saw Chelsea run out 6-1 winners, with Djibril Cisse scoring a consolation late on, and the Frenchman is 5.0 (4/1) to get on the score sheet this time around.

You have to go back thirty years for Queen’s Park Rangers last league win at Stamford Bridge, and in their eleven meetings in the Premier League, they have never managed to score more than once.

They have also scored less than two goals in sixteen of their nineteen league games this season, boasting the worst goals per game average in the division.

With this is mind, you might fancy backing Chelsea to keep a clean sheet at a best price of 1.92 (10/11) with Paddy Power, whilst they are widely available at evens to win to nil.
