Argentine striker Carlos Tevez has been slapped with a two-week suspension by Manchester City as the club officials look into the incident that happened in Munich.

The unsettled striker reportedly refused to enter the pitch as a sub when he was called by Roberto Mancini.

Tevez later denied the rumours and claimed there had been a misunderstanding, but City have now launched an official inquiry and decided to suspend the player until further notice.

“Carlos Tevez has been suspended until further notice for a maximum period of two weeks,” a club statement read.

“The suspension is pending a full review into his alleged conduct during Tuesday evening’s 2-0 defeat to Bayern Munich.

“The player will not be considered for selection or take part in training whilst the review is under way.

“Carlos will be given full opportunity to explain his side of proceedings.”

It now looks as though Tevez’s career at Eastlands is drawing to a close and the Argentine is 1.57 (4/7) with Sportingbet never to play for City again.

The odds of 2.25 (5/4) are available on Tevez to play at least one more game for Manchester City.
