Can Dalglish revive Liverpool?

Just few days ago Liverpool legend Kenny Dalglish took over the reigns at Anfield following Roy Hodgson’s sacking, but he couldn’t have wished for a worse start as the Reds were knockout out of the FA Cup by bitter rivals Manchester United.

The new boss was hardly to blame for yet another Reds’ defeat as referee Howard Webb gifted United a penalty within the first minute, with Gerrard’s sending off just after the half hour break making the tie effectively over.

Kenny Dalglish will certainly not be judged by this game alone and he will have enough chances to prove he is the right man for the job seeing he was given the job until the end of the season.

Even the most pessimistic of fans believe Liverpool will finish the season in higher position than the current 12th place, so odds of 1.20 (1/5) offered by William Hill on Liverpool to finish the Premier League campaign in 11th place or higher are definitely worth a shot.

The odds on Liverpool to finish in 12th are 5.50 (9/2), but if they finish 13th or lower, William Hill pays 9.00 (8/1).
