GomisSwansea striker Bafetimbi Gomis will be joining Marseille in the coming days, according to first team coach Alan Curtis.

The Frenchman was left out of the squad for pre-season tour as he is expected to complete a move to Stade Velodrome, initially joining on a season-long loan.

Swansea coach Alan Curtis has moved to confirm that a transfer is on the horizon.

“Something could well be on the horizon,” Curtis told BBC Wales Sport.

“He’s still contracted to us but you would assume something within the next few days, or weeks certainly, something would happen with Bafe leaving the club.”

Gomis arrives at Stade Velodrome as a replacement for Michy Batshuayi, who joined Chelsea in a big money move, and it is believed he rejected several lucrative offers to sign for Marseille.

Swansea, on the other hand, have also seen Eder and Alberto Paloschi leave this summer, but they are keen on Wales stars Hal Robson-Kanu and Joe Allen.

The Swans will be hoping to avoid another survival battle and they can be backed at 6.00 (5/1) to achieve a top 10 finish.
