Arsenal remain the only Premiership side capable of catching Manchester United at the top and they now have a chance to close the gap to four points.

Having returned to winning ways with an away victory over Blackpool, the Gunners are hoping to continue in the same manner and triumph against Liverpool.

While the injury list is still pretty long, Arsene Wenger could receive a major boost as Wojciech Szczesny, Bacary Sagna and Johan Djourou should return to the side.

Manuel Almunia, Alexandre Song and Denilson remain injury doubts, while Bartley, Fabianski, Mannone and Vermaelen are definitely out.

Probable starting line-up (4-3-3): Szczesny – Sagna, Koscielny, Djourou, Clichy – Fabregas, Diaby, Wilshire – Walcott, Van Persie, Nasri.

Liverpool continue to improve under Kenny Dalglish, with the Reds now in a good position to ensure European qualification.

The impressive 3:0 victory over Manchester City served as a major boost to the players’ confidence, while the fans at Anfield were also able to see the Suarez-Carroll partnership in all its glory.

Luis Suarez is now 3.40 (12/5) with Sportingbet to score at the Emirates, whereas the price is the same on Andy Carroll as well.

The Reds will again be without Steven Gerrard, Daniel Agger, Glen Johnson and Martin Kelly, with youngster Jon Flanagan set to continue at right back.

Probable starting line-up (4-4-2): Flanagan, Skrtel, Carragher, Aurelio – Meireles, Lucas, Spearing, Kuyt – Carroll, Suarez.

Online bookmakers see Arsenal as hot favourites here, with William Hill paying 1.75 (3/4) on home win, whereas Liverpool are 5.25 (17/4) with Victor Chandler to claim maximum points at the Emirates.
