Arsenal fans have finally received some very good news as the latest reports suggest that the Gunners are set to complete deals for Riyad Mahrez and Alexandre Lacazette.

Arsene Wenger was often criticised for his refusal to spend the money at his disposal, but the veteran manager seems prepared to invest in the summer transfer window.

Various reports suggest that the deal for Leicester City star Riyad Mahrez has already been agreed, as the Gunners appear to be preparing for life after Alexis Sanchez.

At the same time, Lyon chairman Jean-Michel Aulas has confirmed that star striker Alexandre Lacazette will be moving to the Emirates.

“The transfer will be between €45million and €50m. Being close to €50m is unique, and will probably be a record for Arsenal and Olympique Lyonnais as well.

“We will probably reach a new record, it’s not a small transfer, €50m for a player trained by our club.”

Lacazette had initially agreed a deal with Atletico Madrid, but the transfer fell through as FIFA refused to lift the transfer ban imposed on the Spanish side.

Following the heavy summer recruitment, Arsenal can be backed at 12.00 (11/1) to lift the 2017/2018 Premier League trophy.
