Arsenal need results ‘straight away’ if they are to turn around their poor season, Head Coach Mikel Arteta has said.

The Gunners have endured a horrendous start to the 2020/21 Premier League campaign having only won four out of their opening 11 games, leaving them sitting 15th in the table and already eight points off of the top four.

Those poor results have seen the pressure pile on Arteta, with the Spaniard now sending a message to his squad that they need to reverse their fortunes sooner rather than later, starting with the weekend’s clash against Burnley.

He said: “[Sunday] is vital for us, we’ve been inconsistent in the competitions. A good run in the Carabao Cup and Europa League but unfortunately the results haven’t been the one we’ve wanted in the Premier League.

“We are very frustrated with that, we know how important it is to put results together really quickly, because we need them straight away.”

Arsenal host Burnley on Sunday evening on the back of a four-match winless run in the league, and consecutive defeats. They have not lost three league games in a row since April 2019.

Artera’s men are at a price of 1/2 with Betfair to earn what would be a morale-boosting victory against the Clarets on Sunday.
