Alvaro MorataPremier League giants Arsenal have emerged as favourites to recruit Real Madrid striker Alvaro Morata, according to the Daily Mirror.

Los Blancos recently exercised the buy-back clause to bring the Spain international to Santiago Bernabeu, and they now have the opportunity to make a substantial profit in the matter of weeks.

Namely, a host of top European clubs are casting admiring glances Morata’s way, although the recent reports suggest Arsenal are in pole position.

New Chelsea manager Antonio Conte was hoping to get reunited with the Spaniard at Stamford Bridge, but that looks unlikely to happen due to the fact that the 23-year-old wants to play Champions League football next season.

Their Premier League rivals Arsenal appear determined to sign Morata in the summer transfer window, although it remains to be seen whether Real Madrid will be interested in selling the highly rated forward.

Alvaro Morata scored just 7 goals in 34 league outings for Juventus last season, but he went on to net three times for Spain at the Euro 2016 finals.
