Demba BaThe Times is reporting that Russian free spenders Anzhi are in negotiations to sign Chelsea striker Demba Ba.

Despite only joining the Blues last January, the Senegalese looks set to leave Stamford Bridge this summer as new boss Jose Mourinho doesn’t have him in his first team plans.

With Romelu Lukaku back from a loan spell at West Brom and Andre Schurrle arriving from Bayer Leverkusen, Demba Ba will be allowed to leave the club.

According to The Times, Anzhi are looking to take advantage of the situation and they have already contacted the player regarding a move to Makhachkala.

Given that Ba is slowly entering the closing stage of his career, he is likely to be tempted by the lucrative offer from Russia.

As a result, Anzhi are 3.00 (2/1) favourites with SkyBet to sign the player this summer, while he is 3.25 (9/4) to return to West Ham.

Demba Ba, 28, has had an indifferent start to his career at Stamford Bridge, scoring just 6 goals in 22 competitive appearances for the Blues.
