England will be striving to continue their perfect record in Euro 2020 qualifying as they take on surprise package Kosovo at Southampton’s St Mary’s on Tuesday evening.

The Three Lions come into the match top of Group A after only three games having racked up a flawless opening to qualifying and are justified favourites to top the group at odds of 1/80 with Paddy Power. Meanwhile, Bernard Challandes’ troops have surprised a few having notched two wins and two draws apiece thus far, leaving them second in the group. They can be backed at a price of 25/1 to edge out England and instead reach the tournament as group winners.

In order to do that though, the result of the match at St Mary’s could be pivotal. Three points for Gareth Southgate’s men will see them go four points clear at the top of the group, whilst a Kosovan success will instead see them jump ahead and build a two point gap at the top of the table.

It will not be as straight forward as most are predicting though with Kosovo currently in brilliant form having won ten out of their last 15 matches in all competitions and not suffered defeat as a nation since October 2017.

It is once again the hosts that are most fancied at odds of 1/16 with Betfair, whilst Kosovo can be backed at a price as high as 30/1. England to be held to their first draw since October 2018 meanwhile is currently available at 12/1.

That could make sense considering the Three Lions’ success in front of goal throughout the current qualifying campaign. England have scored four or more goals in each of their three opening group games so far including their recent 4-0 win over Bulgaria at Wembley Stadium. They can be backed at 11/8 with Betfred to do this once again against Kosovo.

Meanwhile, both sides have found the net in each of Kosovo’s previous five games following the slender 2-1 win against the Czech Republic last time out. This eventuality occurring against England sits at 3/10 with Paddy Power.

One man who is likely to find the net in the game is Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane. The forward hit a hat-trick against Bulgaria, taking his count to six goals for club and country so far this season, and is available at 15/8 with William Hill to open the scoring on the South Coast.

Atdhe Nuhiu, who plies his trade for Championship side Sheffield Wednesday, is the favourite to net first for Kosovo and is at a price of 25/1.
