Liverpool defender Dejan Lovren predicts Sunday afternoon’s clash with England in the UEFA Nations League will be a ‘feisty’ affair.

Both countries go into the game at Wembley Stadium with aspirations of topping the group ahead of Spain and reaching the knockout rounds of the competition, something that both teams could achieve with a win. Elsewhere, a goalless draw would see the Three Lions relegate their visitors, whilst a score draw would see Gareth Southgate’s men drop out of League A Group Four instead.

Talking to Sky Sports, Lovren told how he was under no illusions as to how important the game could be, especially against a few familiar faces.

He said: “Now we have this let’s say a ‘final’ against the English. I think we’ll be brave, we don’t have anything to lose.

“We know them, they know us, it will be feisty, but that’s how it should be.

“Of course we’re going for the win.”

The two teams already clashed in the competition in October, producing a 0-0 draw behind closed doors. The Three Lions are favourites to get the three points and can be backed at 5/6 with Paddy Power. Elsewhere, Croatia have odds of 3/1 to win, whilst a draw sits at 13/5.
