Luis Campos has said that Christophe Galtier would be a good managerial appointment for Everton.

Everton are on the hunt for a new manager following the departure of Carlo Ancelotti.

The former AC Milan and Paris Saint-Germain manager was appointed as the Everton manager in December 2019.

The Italian stepped down from his role at Goodison Park on June 1 and returned to his former club Madrid to replace Zinedine Zidane.

Galtier is one of the managers linked with the vacant managerial role at Everton.

The 54-year-old Frenchman has left his managerial job at Lille despite leading the club to the Ligue 1 title this past season.

Former Lille sporting director Campos believes that Galtier would suit Everton.

Campos told Sky Sports: “Christophe has all the qualities to coach in England, technically he is very astute and is extremely detailed in his planning when preparing a team.

“He likes a 4-4-2 system, which would fit with the Premier League and he is a fantastic motivator in the dressing room.

“He likes to build a side with quality and youth, he is someone that can develop a team ethic, and he is also a fantastic human being.”

According to Betfair, Galtier is priced at 10/3 to become the new Everton manager.
