Premier League title chasers Chelsea appear to have changed their mind on striker Diego Costa and his long-term future at the London-based club.

The Spanish striker’s head was turned during the January transfer window when Chinese side Tianjin Quanjian came knocking at his door with an insane offer that would have seen him pocket whopping €100 million in wagers for a three-year stay with the club.

Chelsea rejected the approach and declined a substantial amount of money themselves as they missed the opportunity to earn €107 million for their striker.

Antonio Conte was reportedly involved in a bust-up with his player as the Italian manager was disappointed to learn that Costa was thinking about the possibility to move to China, but the things calmed down since then and the Spaniard was quickly reinstated in the first-team after briefly being sent to the sidelines.

There seems to have been a change of development at Chelsea as the Blues appear to be willing to part ways with their influential striker.

According to French news outlet SFR Sport, Chelsea have told Tianjin Quanjian to return with the bid during the summer which Chinese are prepared to do.

Tianjin Quanjian are managed by the former Italian international Fabio Cannavaro and the Chinese Super League side have made some serious waves during January already, having brought Axel Witsel and Alexandre Pato as the most prominent footballers in their team.

Diego Costa has this season made 24 Premier League appearances for Chelsea, scoring 16 goals in the process including one goal he scored in his team’s most recent 3-1 triumph over Swansea City.

The Blues continue their chase towards the Premier League title with a trip to West Ham on 6 March. The Blues are given betting odds of 1.60 (6/10) @WilliamHill to claim the three points against the Hammers.
