Liverpool goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher has said that he is ready to feature for the Reds against Arsenal this week.

Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool will take on Arsenal away from home at the Emirates Stadium in the second leg of the Carabao Cup on Thursday evening.

The first leg of the tie at Anfield finished in a goalless draw.

Brazil international goalkeeper Alisson started the match, and Klopp could keep  him in the team.

Kelleher, though, has said that he is ready to play if called upon.

The goalkeeper told Liverpool’s official website: I’ll just prepare like I am [playing] but I’m not fully sure yet.

“We had a little chat with the manager [before the first leg] and he just explained that Alisson had a few weeks off with COVID and stuff, so I think he needed the game just to get back in the rhythm of things after being out for a while. I fully understood the reasons.”

Liverpool are rated at 10/1 on Betfair to win the second leg against Arsenal 2-0.
