Borussia Dortmund have announced that Jadon Sancho will move to Manchester United in the summer transfer window.
Dortmund chief executive made the announcement regarding the former Manchester City winger during a press conference on Thursday.
The German club have also made a a stock exchange announcement on Thursday morning.
“The player Jadon Sancho is about to move from Borussia Dortmund GmbH & Co. KGaA to Manchester United Football Club Limited,” the announcement said.
“Both clubs and the player reached an agreement on this today. If the transfer is realised, Manchester United will pay BVB a fixed transfer fee of EUR 85.0 million. The contractual details now have to be coordinated and documented.
“The formal processing of the transfer is also subject to the successful completion of all necessary medical tests and examinations, a coordination procedure with the player’s previous club and the proper and timely processing in accordance with the provisions of the FIFA Transfer Matching System.”
Sancho is one of the best young wingers in Europe and could prove to be a brilliant signing for United, not just for now, but in the long run as well.
The 21-year-old England international scored eight goals and gave 11 assists in the Bundesliga, and scored two goals and gave three assists in the Champions League last season.
United are rated at 9/1 by Betfair to win the Premier League title next season.
