Barcelona face a surprise top-of-the-table clash as they come up against Getafe at the Camp Nou on Saturday.

The visitors are enjoying an absolutely stellar season in La Liga under José Bordalás, currently sitting third in the table on 42 points and look highly likely to secure a place in the UEFA Champions League for the first time in the club’s history. They can be backed at a respectable price of 6/4 with Betfair to finish in the top four come the end of the campaign.

Meanwhile, Quique Setien has not quite had the desired impact in Catalonia since taking the reins from Ernesto Valverede. Barca have relinquished top spot in the table following losses to Athletic Bilbao and Valencia. They are now three points behind league leaders Real Madrid and are at odds of 6/4 with Paddy Power to lift their third consecutive crown.

The clash against Getafe then could be key in their pursuit of the league title and the recent form between the two sides could bode extremely well. Barcelona have not actually lost to this weekend’s opponents in league play since a 1-0 defeat back in November in a run that stretches back 14 matches. As a matter of fact, the hosts have won the last four matches at the Camp Nou between the two sides and they can be backed at a price of 42/100 with William Hill to earn a fifth. Getafe are at considerable odds of 7/1 to earn another surprising victory, whilst a draw sits at 7/2.

One strength that the visitors will certainly be looking to harness is their excellent defensive record. Bordalas’ troops have only conceded 20 goals so far this season, with only Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid having shipped fewer and kept more clean sheets. They are at 9/1 with Betfred to earn a momentous victory and win to nil at the Camp Nou.

To do that, they will certainly have to keep the likes of Lionel Messi and co. quiet. The Argentine can be backed at 23/10 to score the opening goal of the match. Elsewhere, Getafe’s top scorer Angel Rodriguez is at 11/2 to bag the first strike of the game.

One man who won’t be taking to the field is Ousmane Dembele who has been ruled out for the rest of the season. He joins Luis Suarez on the treatment table, whilst Clement Lenglet is out through suspension. Getafe have a clean bill of health as they prepare to travel to Catalonia.
