Barcelona sign Robert Lewandowski from Bayern Munich

Barcelona have signed Robert Lewandowski from Bayern Munich in the summer transfer window.

The La Liga and European giants have announced on their official website that they have secured the services of the Poland international striker from German powerhouse Bayern for a total of €45 million + €5 million in variables.

Lewandowski has signed a contract with Barcelona for the next four seasons and has a release clause of €500 million.

BBC Sport quotes the 33-year-old former Borussia Dortmund striker as saying “I’m finally here. I’m delighted to be at Barca.

“The last few days have been very long, but the deal is done and now I can focus on a new chapter and challenge in my life.

“I’ve always wanted to play in La Liga and for the big clubs. I’m here to help Barca get back to the top and win as many titles as possible.”

Barcelona can be backed at 7/5 on Betfair to win the La Liga title next season.
