Aston Villa have announced that they have signed Danny Ings from Premier League rivals Southampton in the summer transfer window.
The Villans have released a statement saying that Ings has signed on a three-year contract.
According to The Sun, Villa have paid Southampton £25 million as transfer fee for Ings.
Villa manager Dean Smith told the club’s official website: “Danny is an outstanding Premier League footballer who has scored goals wherever he has played.
“He is also a top professional with a great character who will be a leader in our squad and a role model for our rapidly developing young Academy players who are now in and around the first team. I am delighted to welcome Danny to our great Club.”
Villa can be backed at 5/1 on Betfair to finish in the top six of the Premier League table this season.
