Tottenham Hotspur head coach Antonio Conte has praised Steven Bergwijn on the club’s official website for his performance against West Ham United at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday evening.
Spurs got the better of Premier League and London rivals West Ham 2-1 at home in the quarter-finals of the competition.
Netherlands international winger Bergwijn scored one of the goals for Tottenham, and head coach Conte was impressed.
Conte told Tottenham’s official website about Bergwijn: “He deserved this chance to play, he played a good game, scored and made an assist. He was good but I think he has the potential to improve and to be better.”
Tottenham will face Chelsea in the semi-finals of the Carabao Cup this season.
