Chelsea winger Eden Hazard has stated that he is ‘not leaving’ the club amidst rumours linking the Belgian with Real Madrid.

In an interview with RMC, the 27-year-old confirmed his loyalty to the Blues with the English transfer window having already closed.

Hazard said: “I am not leaving. The English transfer window is already closed. You can leave but you cannot sign players. It would be quite weird if they (Chelsea board) were to let me go and they could not sign a player to replace me.”

The former LOSC Lille man has consistently been linked with a switch to the Santiago Bernabeu in the last few years as a result of his excellent performances in West London.

Since arriving in 2012, he has made 302 appearances for the Blues, scoring 89 goals. Hazard has scored at least 17 goals in all competitions in four out of his last five campaigns with the club.

He was also instrumental in Chelsea’s title successes of 2015 and 2017, as well as their triumphs in the League Cup, FA Cup and UEFA Europa League.

Hazard is 1/7 with bookies Paddy Power to remain with Chelsea following the closure of the transfer window. Meanwhile, they price a departure for the Spanish capital at 3/1.
