AC Milan forward Gonzalo Higuain has been ruled out of his team’s trip to Sassuolo on Sunday evening.

The Rossoneri travel to the Stadio Enzo Ricci on Sunday evening aiming to get their season back on track having only claimed one Serie A win so far this season. However, it is set to be a difficult task with the hosts having enjoyed a great start to the campaign, currently sitting third after four wins out of their opening six games.

Their challenge is made even more troublesome with the absence of Higuain, who is suffering with a muscle injury. The Argentinian striker has enjoyed a quick start to life at the San Siro following his loan move from current champions Juventus. He has hit three goals and provided a solitary assist in five appearances in all competitions.

The 30-year-old former Real Madrid and Napoli striker was however absent in Milan’s 1-1 draw against Empoli in mid-week as Milan produced a stalemate for the third match in succession.

Elsewhere, Patrick Cutrone will be fit for Gennaro Gattuso’s men and is one of the favourites to open the scoring on Sunday. He can be backed at 6/1 with BetVictor to hit the opening goal.
