Real vs Atletico 0-1For the second time in three years, Madrid rivals will be contesting a Champions League final, and we definitely expect another enthralling encounter.

Los Blancos may have won the previous clash 4-1, but we shouldn’t forget that Atletico were minutes away from the coveted trophy before Real turned on the style in extra time.

Real Madrid failed missed out on both domestic trophies this term, meaning this season will be deemed a failure unless they can lift the Champions League title.

Los Blancos did show some improvement under Zinedine Zidane and they almost pipped Barcelona to the La Liga trophy, but it all comes down to the clash at Stadio Giuseppe Meazza.

Real Madrid head into the all-important game in good spirits, having won nine of last ten matches in all competitions, but it remains to be seen how a two-week break from action will affect the team.

The most important thing is that Portuguese superstar Cristiano Ronaldo has fully recovered from an injury he suffered in training and he is set to start.

And with the forward having scored 51 goals in 47 appearances this season, he is available at 5.00 (4/1) to open the scoring in Milan.

Meanwhile, Real Madrid can be backed at 2.50 (3/2) to win the clash in regular time, and they will be nearly at full strength on Saturday.

Back-up defender Raphael Varane has been ruled out through injury, while Alvaro Arbeloa is a major doubt, but Zinedine Zidane will, nevertheless, be able to field his strongest side.

Probable starting line-up (4-3-3): Navas – Carvajal, Pepe, Ramos, Marcelo – Modric, Casemiro, Kroos – Bale, Benzema, Ronaldo.

Having been exceeding expectations ever since Diego Simeone took charge at Vicente Calderon, Atletico Madrid are no longer a surprise package, although we continue to be amazed by their achievements.

Los Colchoneros came really close to upsetting expensively assembled Barcelona and Real Madrid sides in the La Liga title chase, but they ultimately finished in third place.

And having narrowly missed out on the Champions League trophy two years back, Atletico now have a perfect chance to get revenge on their local rivals.

Los Colchoneros are priced at 2.20 (6/5) to lift the coveted trophy, and there are no doubts they will be looking to frustrate their more illustrious opponents with an ultra-defensive approach.

If we disregard the shock defeat to rock-bottom Levante, Atletico have been quite impressive of late, winning seven of last nine games, keeping a clean sheet in each of those triumphs.

Atletico Madrid coach has absolutely no selection worries now that Tiago Mendes has returned into action, and his only dilemma is whether to partner Jose Maria Gimenez or Stefan Savic with Diego Godin.

Probable starting line-up (4-4-2): Oblak – Juanfran, Savic, Godin, Filipe Luis – Saul, Gabi, Fernandez, Koke – F. Torres, Griezmann.
