Tuesday’s game between current Premier League and Serie A leaders should deliver premium excitement, with everybody hoping for a great European night at Etihad Stadium.

Man City are in a better position having won both fixtures so far, whereas Napoli might feel the pressure after losing their opening fixture to Shakhtar Donetsk.

Pep Guardiola’s debut season in English football was by no means a success, but recent results are enough to suggest his team are finally playing to their potential.

Even with top scorer Sergio Aguero missing, Man City scored 7 goals past Stoke at the weekend to open up a two point lead at the Premier League summit, meaning they are now the team to beat.

The Citizens have now won nine straight fixtures in all competitions and they can be backed at 1.60 (3/5) to make it ten on the bounce.

Manchester City recorded two comfortable wins at the start of the Champions League group stage, but they will now have much bigger fish to fry.

The good news is that Sergio Aguero is back in contention after a car accident, but captain Vincent Kompany continues to miss out.

Probable starting line-up (4-3-3): Ederson – Walker, Stones, Otamendi, Delph – De Buryne, Fernandinho, David Silva – Sterling, Gabriel Jesus, Sane.

It is fair to say that Napoli have made tremendous progress under Maurizio Sarri and this looks like it could be their season.

Eight straight Serie A wins saw the Azzurri create a two-point advantage over second-placed Inter Milan, while holders Juventus trail five points, so no doubt this has been a dream start for the Stadio San Paolo outfit.

Meanwhile, Napoli did not impress in their opening Champions League fixture, losing to Shakhtar Donetsk, but a 3-1 win over Feyenoord got them back on track.

The odds may be stacked firmly against them in Tuesday’s clash, but we see a good value in 2.37 (11/8) offered on the Azzurri not to lose.

Head coach Maurizio Sarri has no fresh selection worries after the victory over title rivals AS Roma, with only Arkadiusz Milik sidelined through injury.

There could be some changes to the starting line-up though as Piotr Zielinski and Amadou Diawara are pushing for starting positions.

Probable starting line-up (4-3-3): Reina – Hysal, Albiol, Koulibaly, Ghoulam – Zielinski, Diawara, Hamsik – Callejon, Mertens, Insigne.
