Bayern vs Man CityStruggling Manchester City host group leaders Bayern Muncih hoping to revive their qualifying hopes ahead of the crunch tie with AS Roma.

Meanwhile, the Bavarians have already secured the first place in the standings, meaning Pep Guardiola is expected to rest some of his starters.

This season has so far been pretty disappointing for Manchester City, and not only because they are currently eight points behind leaders Chelsea in the Premier League standings.

The Citizens have once again failed to impress in Europe, and find themselves in an extremely difficult position ahead of the final two fixtures.

Manchester City sit two points behind CSKA Moscow and AS Roma, and with home game against Bayern and away clash against the Giallorossi next on agenda, it will take a massive effort from Manuel Pellegrini’s men to qualify.

The Citizens can only hope that mighty Bayern will not be too interested in the match at Etihad having already secured the first position, with home win paying 3.45 (49/20).

Pellegrini faces serious midfield problems considering that Yaya Toure and Fernandinho are both banned while David Silva is injured.

At the same time, Aleksandar Kolarov and Edin Dzeko miss out through injury, but at least star striker Sergio Aguero is fit to play.

Probable starting line-up (4-2-3-1): Hart – Zabaleta, Kompany, Mangala, Clichy – Lampard, Fernando – Navas, Jovetic, Nasri – Aguero.

Unlike their next opponents, Bayern Munich have been absolutely brilliant on all fronts this season in spite of some serious selection problems.

The Bavarians are already seven points clear at the Bundesliga summit, with main title rivals Borussia Dortmund 19 points behind.

Meanwhile, Bayern have won all four games in what is a very strong Champions League group, securing the first place with two matches to go.

Even so, the Bavarians will want to keep the 100 per cent record intact and they look a good bet at 2.20 (6/5) to claim maximum points at Etihad.

Injury problems continue to mount for Pep Guardiola, seeing as how Philipp Lahm, David Alaba, Javi Martinez, Pepe Reina, Tom Starke, Holger Badstuber, Claudio Pizarro and Thiago Alcantara are all out.

The good news is that Bastian Schweinsteier has returned into action and he is likely to play a part against the Citizens as well.

Probable starting line-up (4-1-4-1): Neuer – Rafinha, Boateng, Dante, Bernat – Alonso – Shaqiri, Muller, Hojbjerg, Ribery – Lewandowski.
