Fresh from the morale-boosting victory over Roma, Juventus take on Shakhtar, a team that have won every single match this season.

Having returned to Europe’s elite competition, the Old Lady are extremely motivated to do well this term, and the promising showing against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge proved the team are on the right track.

Following a bright start to the season, the Bianconeri produced an under-par performance in the derby clash against Fiorentina last Tuesday, with some pundits suggesting that a dip in form could be on the cards.

However, Juventus quickly proved the doubters wrong, with the 4-1 victory over title rivals Roma a perfect introduction into the Champions League clash with Shakhtar.

After winning all three home games this season, there is a great value in backing the Bianconeri at odds of 1.62 (5/8) offered by BetVictor.

Antonio Conte has no fresh injury worries, but Stephan Lichtsteiner, Kwadwo Asamoah and Sebastian Giovinco are set to return after they were rested at the weekend.

Probable starting line-up (3-5-2): Buffon – Barzagli, Bonucci, Chiellini – Lichtsteiner, Vidal, Pirlo, Marchisio, Asamoah – Vucinic, Giovinco.

Shakhtar Donetsk are becoming regular in Europe’s top competition and after failing to progress past the group stage, they aim to make things right this term.

That will be no easy task when we know that Juventus and Chelsea are favourites for the top two places, but the Ukrainians are unlikely to surrender without a fight.

The visitors have plenty of reason for optimism ahead of the trip to Turin, having won all 13 competitive games this season, but odds of 6.50 (11/2) offered at bet365 on away win suggest they are in for a tough task.

While Luiz Adriano is set to act as a lone striker, it is Henrikh Mkhitaryan who will pose the biggest threat to Juventus defence, and after scoring 13 goals in 10 league games, the Armenian is 4.33 (10/3) with bet365 to score in Turin.

Visiting coach Mircea Lucescu has no fresh injury worries and is set to field his strongest side at Juventus Arena.

Probable starting line-up (4-2-3-1): Pyatov – Srna, Kucher, Chygrynskiy, Rat – Ilsinho, Fernandinho – Douglas Costa, Mkhitaryan, Willian – Luiz Adriano.
