Dortmund vs JuventusThe Serie A champions finally reached the closing stages of the Champions League and they now have an excellent chance to make it to the semi-finals.

And while Monaco may be the weakest side left in the draw, they will be looking to claim another major scalp having shocked Arsenal in the previous stage.

Juventus have enjoyed plenty of success on domestic stage over the last few years, and they are now closing in on fourth successive Serie A title, while also battling Lazio for the Coppa Italia trophy.

However, the club are also desperate for European success and having largely disappointed in the past two campaigns, the Bianconeri finally have a realistic chance of lifting the Champions League trophy.

Juventus did well to record a double win over Borussia Dortmund in the previous round and they had the luck of the draw to be pitted against Monaco in the quarter-finals.

And with coach Max Allegri resting a number of starters at the weekend, the Old Lady have been rightly made 1.50 (1/2) favourites to win the first leg.

The boss is sweating over the fitness of Andrea Pirlo and Andrea Barzagli, and the latest reports suggest neither will be fit to start.

Meanwhile, the likes of Paul Pogba, Kwadwo Asamoah, Martin Caceres and Romulo are not yet ready to return from injury.

Probable starting line-up (4-3-1-2): Buffon – Lichtsteiner, Bonucci, Chiellini, Evra – Sturaro, Vidal, Marchisio – Pereyra – Tevez, Morata.

Monaco were not exactly tipped for a successful season after the likes of Radamel Falcao, James Rodriguez and few more important players left the club, but the team recovered well from the slow start to the season and have been pretty impressive of late.

The Principality club have been steadily climbing the Ligue 1 standings over the last couple of months and Friday’s win over Caen saw them climb into the top 3 for the first time this season.

This means that another Champions League qualification could be on the cards, while Monaco have yet to have their say on the current CL campaign.

Having eliminated Arsenal in the first knockout stage, the Principality club face Juventus in the quarter-finals and they are available at 3.75 (11/4) to make it to the last four.

With their clash against Caen taking place on Friday, coach Leonardo Jardim resisted the temptation to rest his start players, although the likes of Jeremy Toulalan and Ricardo Carvalho both suffered injuries at Stade Michel d’Ornano.

Nevertheless, the latest report suggest both should be fit to start against Juventus, with Alain Traore also back in contention.

Probable starting line-up (4-2-3-1): Subasic – Fabinho, Carvalho, Abdennour, Kurzawa – Toulalan, Kondogbia – Dirar, Moutinho, Martial – Berbatov.
