Benfica vs JuventusThe two sides are close to securing their places in the next stage, but the clash in Turin could give us an answer on who wins Group D.

The Bianconeri sit one point behind the Premier League giants, but they are unbeaten in four CL fixtures and already defeated Man City at Etihad back in September.

It was never going to be easy for Juventus to replace the likes of Andrea Prilo and Carlos Tevez, although the Bianconeri probably took more time than first thought to return to the right track.

Credit to coach Max Allegri and his players for showing the character needed to turn things around and we can now safely say that the Old Lady is back in business.

Successive wins over Torino, Empoli and AC Milan saw Juventus effectively kick-start their title bid in Italian Serie A, while things are looking very good in Europe as well.

Having long craved for European success, the Bianconeri came really close to lifting the Champions League trophy last term, only to lose in the final to Barcelona.

The team have been pretty impressive this season as well, taking eight points from first eight matches and they have been made 2.30 (13/10) favourites to record another win over Manchester City.

Brazilian midfielder Hernanes is out for three weeks with an adductor injury, whilst Roberto Pereyra, Kwadwo Asamoah and Simone Padoin miss out as well.

The likes of Sami Khedira and Martin Caceres will be assessed on match day, but they are unlikely to start against Manchester City.

Probable starting line-up (4-3-3): Buffon – Lichtsteiner, Bonucci, Chiellini, Evra – Marchisio, Sturaro, Pogba – Cuadrado, Mandzukic, Dybala.

Manchester City could have already been at least few points clear at the Premiership summit had they been a bit more consistent, although yet another heavy defeat shows there is still plenty of work ahead.

The 4-1 home loss to Liverpool proved that team’s back line is incredibly porous without captain Vincent Kompany, while Manuel Pellegrini learned the hard way that he needs both Fernandinho and Fernando in the starting line-up if his side is to have good balance.

The good news is that Man City are now just one point off the top of the Premiership standings, while they have already qualified for the Champions League knockout stages.

Nevertheless, the Citizens will want to finish above Juventus and thus secure better position ahead of the draw, and they are 3.60 (13/5) shot to win in Turin.

Vincent Kompany and David Silva are unlikely to recover in time to face the Bianconeri, according to manager Manuel Pellegrini.

At the same time, Samir Nasri and Wilfried Bony continue to miss out, whereas Sergio Aguero still lacks match fitness.

Probable starting line-up (4-2-3-1): Hart – Sagna, Otamendi, Mangala, Clichy – Fernandinho, Fernando – De Bruyne, Toure, Sterling – Aguero.
