Galatasaray vs DortmundTurkish giants Galatasaray are in desperate need of a win if they are to remain in contention for the top two positions, and they will be aiming to pour more misery on Borussia Dortmund.

The Millionaires are going through a very rough patch in the league, but they aim to keep the 100% record in the Champions League intact.

Galatasaray did not enjoy a very good start under new boss Cesare Prandelli, losing the Turkish Super Cup match to bitter rivals Fenerbahce, while suffering two unexpected slip-ups in the league.

The team have since got their league campaign back on track, climbing to second thanks to three straight wins, with weekend’s triumph over Fener a major lift for everyone at the club.

Meanwhile, Galatasaray have failed to impress in the Champions League, failing to beat Anderlecht at home before suffering a heavy defeat in North London, and they definitely need to show some improvement against Borussia Dortmund.

But, with their more illustrious opponents in a very poor form at the moment, there may be some value in odds of 4.50 (7/2) offered on home win.

There have been some good news for Cesare Prandelli of late seeing as how key attacker Burak Yilmaz has recovered from injury and is ready to start.

Alex Telles will be recalled to the starting line-up, which should see Tarik Camdal switch over to the right-back position.

Probable starting line-up (4-4-1-1): Muslera – Tarik, Kaya, Chedjou, Telles – Adin, Inan, Melo, Dzemaili – Sneijder – Yilmaz.

This has been quite a tumultuous season for Borussia Dortmund, who have largely struggled to live up to the billing in spite of a good start.

The Millionaires have already suffered a fair share of setbacks on domestic stage, losing five of first eight Bundesliga fixtures to drop to 14th in the overall standings.

Oddly enough, Jurgen Klopp’s charges were quite impressive in the Champions League, recording comfortable wins over Arsenal and Anderlecht to climb to the top of the group.

Following back to back defeats to Hamburg and Koln, Dortmund will be eager to return to the right track and they can be backed at 1.85 (17/20) to win at Turk Telekom Arena.

The likes of Reus, Kehl, Gundogan and Mkhitaryan have all returned into action, but it is more than evident they are not in a great shape at the moment.

Erik Durm could be available after missing the Koln game through a thigh problem, but Nuri Sahin, Jakub Blaszczykowski and Marcel Schmelzer remain on the sidelines.

Probable starting line-up (4-2-3-1): Weidenfeller – Piszczek, Sokratis, Hummels, Durm – Bender, Kehl – Grosskreutz, Kagawa, Reus – Ramos.
