Cristiano Ronaldo hopes to make Bayern clash

Cristiano RonaldoReal Madrid superstar has revealed that he expects to be fit for the Champions League semi-final clash against Bayern Munich next Wednesday.

The Portuguese forward missed the Copa del Rey final clash with Barcelona through a hamstring problem, but his side still managed to lift the coveted trophy.

Ronaldo has now revealed that he is stepping up his recovery and he hopes to face holders Bayern Munich in the Champions League semi-final first leg on Wednesday.

“I’m really happy. I wanted to play and help the team but my team-mates did a great job. I’m getting better, now I don’t feel any pain.

“I might be back in time for next Wednesday or perhaps the second leg of our Champions League tie.

“Bit by bit I’m feeling better and what I want more than anything is to be able to help the team out as soon as possible.”

Real Madrid host holders Bayern Munich at Santiago Bernabeu next Wednesday, with los Blancos 2.45 (29/20)  favourites to win the first leg.
