Bayern vs Man CityWith both sides already through to the next stage, the clash at Alianz Arena is set to determine the winner of Group D.

And with Bayern three points clear and having won the first match 3-1, Manchester City need a big win in Germany in order to dislodge the Bavarians from the top of the standings.

Bayern Munich needed some time to hit the ground running under Pep Guardiola, but they are again starting to look like the team that won the historic treble last season.

The Bavarians created a four-point cushion at the top of Bundesliga by winning their last seven league fixtures, with weekend’s 7-0 triumph over Werder Bremen enough to suggest they are on top of their game at the moment.

Meanwhile, the team have also impressed on European stage, winning all five outings to virtually secure the first place in the group.

And having already defeated Manchester City on the road, the Bavarians look a good bet to do it all over again, with home win paying 1.50 (1/2).

Pep Guardiola is expected to make some changes to his starting line-up, but the likes of Arjen Robben and Holger Badstuber remain on the sidelines.

Probable starting line-up (4-1-4-1): Neuer – Lahm, Boateng, Dante, Alaba – Martinez – Muller, Kroos, Thiago, Ribery – Gotze.

Manchester City have shown a great deal of promise this season, but lack of consistency and poor away form remain major concerns.

It looked as though the away triumph over West Bromwich, their fourth in a row, would change everything, and the Citizens indeed looked very good in the opening exchanges of the Southampton clash.

But, they once again failed to protect their lead and were somewhat fortunate to walk away from St Mary’s with one point.

With the team already securing Champions League qualification and highly unlikely to win the first place in the group, chances are that Manuel Pellegrini will be ringing wholesale changes for the trip to Alianz Arena.

Taking that into consideration, both teams to score bet should be considered at odds of 1.65 (13/20) offered at Coral.

David Silva could play some part after recovering from injury, but Matija Nastasic and Stevan Jovetic remain on the sidelines.

Probable starting line-up (4-4-2): Hart – Richards, Demichelis, Lescott, Clichy – Navas, Garcia, Rodwell, Milner – Dzeko, Negredo.
