PSG vs BarcaFresh from back to back setbacks on domestic stage, Bayer Leverkusen hope to rediscover their home form as they prepare to host star-studded PSG in the Champions League.

The Saints appear to be in very good form at the moment and they have got to be considered favourites to win at Bay Arena.

Bayer Leverkusen did well to progress from what was an evenly matched group in spite of the shocking 5-0 defeat to Manchester United.

Having finished in second place, die Werkself were pitted against Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain, which was not such a bad draw after all.

Up until recently, Bayer were pretty impressive on domestic stage having climbed to second in the Bundesliga standings, but they go into the PSG clash low on confidence.

After crashing out of DFB Pokal by losing to Kaiserslautern at home, Sami Hyypia’s side were also defeated by Schalke at their Bay Arena, and they will have just three days to recover from the loss.

Online bookmakers also seem to think Bayer are the underdogs here, with home win paying 3.50 (5/2) at bet365.

Important attacker Sidney Sam returns after he was left out of the squad for the match against his future employers, whereas Stefan Reinartz could also return. Eren Derdiyok and Emre Can are out through injury and suspension respectively.

Probable starting line-up (4-3-3): Leno – Hilbert, Toprak, Spahic, Boenisch – Bender, Rolfes, Castro – Sam, Kiessling, Son.

Last season proved Paris Saint-Germain was on the road to become one of Europe’s top sides, with the Saints reaching Champions League quarter-finals, where they were pretty unfortunate not to eliminate mighty Barcelona.

The French giants continued the rich vein of form in Europe’s elite competition, having eased off to the first place in the group that also contained Benfica, Anderlecht and Olympiakos.

PSG are now regarded as favourites to pip Bayer Leverkusen to a place in the quarter-finals, and they are certainly in better form than the opposition.

Having kept their five-point advantage at the Ligue 1 summit by defeating Valenciennes, the Saints are 2.30 (13/10) to continue the good run at Bay Arena.

The visitors will again be heavily relying on magnificent Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who is 2.25 (5/4) to score anytime.

Talented midfielder Adrien Rabiot has returned into action, but Edinson Cavani, Christophe Jallet and Zoumana Camara are out injured.

Probable starting line-up (4-3-3): Sirigu – van der Wiel, Alex, Thiago Silva, Maxwell – Verratti, Motta, Matuidi – Lucas, Ibrahimovic, Pastore.
