Arsenal vs DortmundHaving picked up maximum six points from first two fixtures, Arsenal can virtually secure their place in the knockout stages by defeating Borussia Dortmund at the Emirates.

Last year’s finalists are currently tied on points with third-placed Napoli and they could really use a good result in North London.

Arsenal are already used to dominating their Champions League groups, but their position at the Premier League summit is clearly something new for the current crop of players.

Nobody can say that the Gunners did not deserve such a high league position, but it remains to be seen if they can remain there come end of the season.

Meanwhile, the team have impressed to climb to the top of the group of death in the Champions League, defeating Marseille away and Napoli at home in the first two fixtures.

Considering the form they are in, it is hardly surprising Arsenal are 2.38 (11/8) favourites to defeat Borussia Dortmund as well.

Despite keeping the rich vein of form, Olivier Giroud has scored just one goal in last six matches, and he is 2.50 (3/2) to get on the scoresheet on Tuesday evening.

While Santi Cazorla and Bacary Sagna have returned into action, Mathieu Flamini is doubtful after suffering a concussion in the 4-1 victory over Norwich.

On the other hand, Theo Walcott, Lukas Podolski, Abou Diaby, Yaya Sanogo and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain remain in the infirmary.

Probable starting line-up (4-2-3-1): Szczesny – Sagna, Mertesacker, Koscielny, Gibbs – Arteta, Ramsey – Cazorla, Ozil, Wilshire – Giroud.

Borussia largely impressed to reach the Champions League final last term, but they were not really able to mount a serious title challenge in Bundesliga.

This term they are hoping to battle for both major trophies and the team do look capable of doing even better than last season.

The narrow victory over Hannover ensured the Millionaires remained just one point behind arch rivals Bayern Munich, and now they are set for an extremely important Champions League match against Arsenal.

Having lost their opening group game to Napoli, Borussia did well to defeat Marseille at home, but they would be in real problems if they lose at the Emirates.

Given the excellent form of their opponents, BVB may not be favourites here, but they are rather 3.20 (11/5) to claim maximum points.

Marcel Schmelzer, Jakub Blaszczykowski and Mats Hummels are set to be recalled, but Ilkay Gundogan, Sebastian Kehl and Lukasz Piszczek remain sidelined.

Probable starting line-up (4-2-3-1): Weidenfeller – Grosskreutz, Subotic, Hummels, Schmelzer – Bender, Sahin – Blaszczykowski, Mkhitaryan, Reus – Lewandowski.
