Real Madrid vs VillarrealAfter missing a chance to defeat newcomers Eibar on the road, Villarreal will relish the opportunity of testing their skills against one of world’s top sides at their El Madrigal.

Meanwhile, los Blancos came from a goal behind to record another big win, but they clearly face a much tougher task against the Yellow Submarine.

Villarreal surprised everyone by achieving a top 6 finish in La Liga last term, and the club management in turn did well to give the team the best possible chance of repeating the success.

Following some shrewd transfer dealings, the Yellow Submarine look even stronger than last term, and they have done pretty well at the start of the new campaign.

While easing off to the Europa League group stages, where they held Borussia M’gladbach to a 1-1 draw, Villarreal started the league campaign with an away triumph over Levante before giving a very good account of themselves in the unlucky 1-0 home loss to Barcelona.

Marcelino Garcia Toral’s charges have since defeated Rayo Vallecano at home and shared spoils with Granada and Eibar on the road, and they are 2.25 (5/4) to extend the unbeaten run against Real Madrid.

Having recorded a 2-2 draw in the same fixture last season, Villarreal definitely stand a chance of upsetting their more illustrious opponents.

The likes of Cani, Bruno Soriano and Trigueros should be recalled to the starting line-up, but Giovani Dos Santos, Bojan Jokic, Jaume Costa and Hernan Perez remain sidelined.

Probable starting line-up (4-4-2): Asenjo – Mario, Musacchio, Gabriel Paulista, Marin – Cheryshev, Trigueros, Bruno, Cani – Uche, Moreno.

Real Madrid are slowly recovering from the poor start to the season, with Carlo Ancelotti’s rotation policy producing good results.

His charges responded well to back to back defeats to Real Sociedad and Atletico Madrid, scoring impressive 18 goals in next three matches to see off Basel, Deportivo La Coruna and Elche.

Things did not start well for los Blancos in midweek as Cristiano Ronaldo committed a penalty to allow the visitors to take the lead, but he then secured the win with four goals after Gareth Bale levelled the score.

And with the Portuguese forward bagging 9 goals in first 4 league fixtures, he can be backed at 1.73 (8/11) to score at El Madrigal.

Meanwhile, Real Madrid are available at 1.67 (2/3) to claim maximum points and put extra pressure on their title rivals.

Despite impressing on his debut, Keylor Navas is likely to start on the bench, while Benzema, Modric and Pepe should be recalled.

The Portugal international as well as his teammate Fabio Coentrao has missed some training this week, but they should be in contention.

Probable starting line-up (4-2-3-1): Casillas– Carvajal, Pepe, Ramos, Marcelo – Kroos, Modric – Bale, James, Ronaldo – Benzema.
