Valencia vs BarcelonaThe clash against mighty Barcelona will be a perfect test to Valencia’s top 4 credentials, with los Che also looking to make amends for the derby loss to Levante.

The Catalans have been raising their form of late and with title rivals Real Madrid doing so well, they have no choice but to try and win at Mestalla.

Up until last week’s defeat to local rivals Levante, Valencia were absolutely brilliant in the league, with some even suggesting they could mount a serious title challenge.

However, los Che were unable to keep the rich vein of form for much longer, with goalless draw against Athletic and narrow defeat to Levante effectively ending the bright run of results.

Injury to star striker Paco Alcacer also came at a bad time, with his replacement Alvaro Negredo lacking match fitness having missed the start of the season through injury.

Valencia now need to try and return to winning ways or risk dropping out of the top 4, and they can be backed at 6.25 (21/4) to shock Barcelona at Mestalla.

Coach Nuno Espirito Santo has confirmed that Alvaro Negredo will continue to deputize for injured Paco Alcacer even if he has yet to score the first goal of the season.

Meanwhile, Sofiane Feghouli and Lucas Orban are tipped to replace Pablo Piatti and Jose Gaya in the starting line-up respectively.

Probable starting line-up (4-3-3): Alves – Barragan, Otamendi, Mustafi, Orban – Parejo, Fuego, Gomes – Feghouli, Negredo, Rodrigo.

Barcelona have so far been unable to keep up with red-hot Real Madrid, but with the Catalans trailing the league leaders by just two points, this is by no means a cause for concern.

The Catalans have seriously raised their form of late, winning last four matches in all competitions, and they are 1.57 (4/7) to emerge victorious at Mestalla.

The attacking trident of Messi, Suarez and Neymar is already working like a charm, with the Uruguayan 2.40 (7/5) to score anytime after opening his Barcelona account.

Luis Enrique started Leo Mesi on the right wing against APOEL, with the Argentine scoring a hat-trick to prove he can play just about anywhere in attack.

Andres Iniesta has already resumed training and he should be in contention for the Valencia game, but Thomas Vermaelen is set for a lengthy spell on the sidelines.

Meanwhile, the likes of Neymar, Xavi, Jeremy Mathieu, Claudio Bravo and Sergio Busquets will be recalled to the starting line-up.

Probable starting line-up (4-3-3): Bravo – Alves, Mascherano, Mathieu, Alba – Xavi, Busquets, Rakitic – Messi, Suarez, Neymar.
